Award-Winning Self-Initiated Brand Projecttranslated through threads
Translated Through Threads explores how clothing can act as a storyteller. The project centres on the emotional and personal narratives embedded within hand-me-down garments, examining how wear, repair and imperfection become markers of lived experience.
Through conversations, interviews and a final exhibition, the project investigates how clothing can translate stories across generations.

labels
Participants were invited to create a label to accompany a meaningful garment. Each label included a photograph of the wearer, the history of the piece and notes on how it had been cared for.
The label was then attached to the garment, allowing the story to travel with it. As the clothing is passed down to the next owner, its history remains intact, creating an ongoing narrative between generations.
